Be guided through the internal thought process that a woman takes, often subconsciously, from the point where she has determined that she wants a doula to actually hiring YOU. This knowledge is so powerful. when you know what works, you can do it again, and again, and again.
Importantly, you will create a roadmap for your business going forward.
Being a solo business owner has its challenges. It is more or less impossible to bounce ideas off someone else in the business and staying accountable is very tough! We know there is shocking rate of burnout for doulas and we are here to make sure that this doesn’t happen to you.
Most doulas burn out and leave the profession disillusioned NOT because of the nature of doula work itself (although this can definitely be a contributing factor), but mainly because women often enter this profession being led by their hearts (a very good thing) and not their minds.
While it might seem an uncomfortable fit for many in this field to connect birth work with business savvy, there is no shame in it. When we are successful we can continue our work, and ultimately provide quality, caring and compassionate work for women and their families for years to come.
There is no difference between a business minded doula and any other person successfully working in a profession that they love and from which they make a living.
Doulas and other birth workers do not have to be destined to be the “poor, starving artists” of the birth world!
This course does not provide cookie-cutter, get rich quick schemes. Instead you will be provided with solid, tried and tested business strategies that have stood the test of time.
Welcome to the entrepreneurial journey!
